I don't expect this cruise to be anything like the river cruise, but still look forward to visiting areas that I have not been to before, and I also enjoy being on the Viking ocean ships. All this leads to saying that unfortunately, the highly anticipated Meeting of the Waters excursion was a disappointment. The 1-hour boat ride to and from that area of the Meeting of the Waters was redundant after our ship’s morning passage. After our rafting we were taken for the rum portion of our excursion. A very basic visit to a rum distillery with a tasting at the end.
